Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to allow time to meet the group and change into your walking gear.
Ensure you bring along appropriate clothing and footwear, see equipment, plus
sufficient refreshments for the walks. Remember it's far better to carry too much water than not enough!

Description: JOINT WALK WITH CHILTERNS GROUP: Meet in the large car park opposite St Mary’s Church, Woburn (MK17 9QZ) for a 10 mile walk exploring the countryside around Woburn, Eversholt and Aspley Guise. The walk will lead through historic, picturesque villages and along forested heaths and sandy hills. Passing the safari park where you will see exotic animals. Finishing off through the undulating woodland and parkland of Woburn Abbey. We will stop for food at The Green Man in Eversholt at approximately 2.30pm, so please bring a snack to keep going until then. If you do not wish to eat in the pub there is a large village green that can be used to eat sandwiches.

Heading north east across the heath, and west to Great Brickhill for a pub stop. Then south and back into the Country Park. Cake or ice cream at the end.

Description: SUNDAY WALK: meet outside the Crooked Billet pub in Newton Longville for a 9 mile figure of eight walk across fields and part of a disused railway to Little Horwood and back, incorporating a section of the Milton Keynes boundary walk. Possible pub stop in Little Horwood but bring packed lunch.

Description: JOINT SUNDAY WALK WITH CHILTERNS GROUP: A full day's linear walk, taking the train from Leighton Buzzard to Tring and walking 12 miles back. Meet at Leighton Buzzard Train Station to get train to Tring. Cost approx £5 for train, parking at station £6 for the day so car sharing is advisable where possible. The first part of the walk follows the Ridgeway to Ivinghoe Beacon with specatcular views from the ridge. The walk then cuts through Ivinghoe Aston and Slapton and finally follows the canal through very attractive countryside. We expect to get to the Grove Lock pub around tea time and will stop for some food before continuing the final mile back to Leighton Buzzard train station and the cars. This will be a full day's walk. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of water or soft drinks. The Ridgeway is very exposed so make sure you bring sun cream, something to cover up with and a hat with a peak! NB. If the weather is bad we may run an alternative 7-8 mile walk starting from the Globe Inn pub so if the weather is iffy please do not buy your car parking ticket until you have checked with us on the day which walk we will be leading.

Walking from the edge of the ancient borough of Newport, across the river Ouse and returning through the quiet village of Lathbury.

Description: MEMBERS WEEK AWAY - YORKSHIRE DALES 4-10 SEPT: The Nidderdale Way is a 53 mile waymarked walking route in North Yorkshire, encircling the River Nidd by means of a wide and varied range of footpaths, bridlepaths and country roads.
Walk leaders will be looking at accommodation in/around Pateley Bridge.
